Jamaqua Dive Centre is owned and operated by a Dutch / Canadian family and was established in 1989. However, we had been visiting/diving Jamaica since 1976. We are a PADI 5 Star facility based out of Club Ambiance in Runaway Bay. We are located within minutes of a number of resorts and villas making diving with us very easy. We are a charter member of the PADI International Resort Association (PIRA), and an active member of the Jamaica Association of Dive Operators (JADO).

Equipment Rental
We carry a full line of DACOR rental equipment at very reasonable rates. Regulators with alternate air-source and gauges along with Buoyancy Control Devices (BCD) can be rented on a per day basis. Our BCD's come in sizes of small, medium, large and extra-large. Our equipment is serviced regularly and is kept in excellent condition for your comfort and satisfaction.

Tanks and Compressors
All of our tanks are 80 cubic foot aluminum tanks and are filled to 3000 psi by our 2 Bauer compressors. Our air is rigorously tested and certified by Trace Analytics, an American agency, every three months to maintain the highest standard of air quality.

Video and Photography
For those who didn't bring their own camera, we rent Nikonos V photographic equipment. In addition to our photography services, we have an extensive audio and video department. How about starring in your own professionally edited, custom underwater video? Our Video/Photography Instructor will personally direct, edit, and set your video to music for you to view over and over again. We also offer specialty courses in underwater photography.

Where Is Jamaica? Jamaica is located over 600 miles south of Miami and 90 miles south of Cuba. It is 146 miles from east to west and 51 miles from north to south with an area of 4, 424 sq. miles, making it the third largest island in the Caribbean.
Entry/Exit Requirements Passports are required, although U.S. and Canadian citizens can get by with a birth certificate and photo ID The current airport departure tax is US$ 20.00.
Jamaica's Weather Winter highs reach into the mid 80F's, Summer highs hit the mid 90F's. The north coast generally enjoys NE trade winds that create light ocean swells.
